New York School of Interior Design/Rooms with a View
Vaughan is honored to be the 2025 Sponsor for the New York School of Interior Design/Rooms With A View Scholarship
The RWAV/NYSID Scholarship was developed to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, and to honor the late Albert Hadley.
Albert was a big believer in developing and promoting young talent and we thought this scholarship was a fitting tribute to his unwavering support of Rooms with a View.
Our 2025 Winner:
Swagatika Rath
Born in India and raised in Hong Kong, Swagatika brings a global perspective and a deep respect for craft to her design work. Before pursuing her MFA at the New York School of Interior Design, she worked in the manufacturing side of high-end hospitality projects, developing and manufacturing custom FF&E for renowned brands like Soho Home, Aman Hotels, and the Ritz-Carlton. That behind-the-scenes experience sparked a desire to shape not just the objects in a space, but the spaces themselves.
Now in her final year at NYSID, Swagatika is focused on creating spaces that weave together cultural identity, storytelling, and emotional resonance. Her work is informed by lived experience, cross-cultural design traditions, and a strong belief in the power of interiors to foster belonging and memory.
She is honored to be part of Rooms with a View and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a thoughtful and inspiring design community.
The Application Process
Applicants will submit designs for a residential space that will be judged by a panel selected by the NYSID. The RWAV scholarship will be awarded each May to students in their Sophomore or Junior years. The winning student will be invited to do a vignette at RWAV.
